The Palliative Support Centre provides non-medical supportive care to complement the medical care received through the health care system. Our focus is on emotional support; helping both patients and their families cope with a serious illness, supporting patients who are facing death and supporting families grieving a loss.

The diagnosis of a serious or terminal illness can be overwhelming and is often accompanied by a change in physical needs, unexpected challenges and emotional turmoil.

Many people feel lost, alone and have no one to talk to.

Marylene and Paul co-founded the Paul Sugar Palliative Support Foundation and the Palliative Support Centre. Their vision was to have a place for people to go, where they could feel safe and comfortable to discuss their needs, fears, hopes and vulnerabilities - A place where individuals could meet others in similar situations, support each other and share thoughts, information and experiences.
